OK well I did another Home Inspection today in Gaithersburg Maryland. Wow the heat came back and reminded me just how hot attics get in the summer here in Maryland. The sweat was dripping and the air was thick it was a Long 15 minutes. Fortunately from past experience I have learned to turn on the AC just before doing the attic inspections so that when I get out, the house is cool, (hopefully). Oh well it’s all good and I am glad the good weather is back and I am seeing an upward trend already in the Real Estate market in my area which obviously is a great thing. I am also seeing a big rise in rentals so it’s all good to me and all helps to keep the housing market alive and moving.

So I have been noticing that many homeowners have a big concern when looking at a new home and also in their existing homes. I have run into this in all areas of Maryland that we service, Potomac, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Olney, Bethesda, Temple Hills, Capital Heights, Poolesville, Frederick, well really all over.  This concern is for Mold.  There are thousands of known species of molds and each carry their own degree of health hazards.

With that being said I am proud to announce that I am Certified in mold testing and now offer all types of mold testing and retesting services.

OK well finally the cold winter is over here in Maryland and spring has arrived.  The last few weeks were pretty decent for the Home Inspection business.  I had Home Inspections spread out all over Maryland.  I did some in Bowie, Frederick, Potomac, Capital Heights, Temple Hills, Germantown, and a few in Rockville.  Most of these Home Inspections opted to have a Radon test as well as Termite WDI (wood destroying insect) inspections at the same time, so all in all they were very good full Home inspections.

I decided to do a little bit of spring shopping and upgrading of some of my most important Home Inspection Tools.  I got a new digital pinless moisture meter, a new electrical circuit tester, and a new AFCI tester (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter).  I also picked up another Little Giant Ladder as these are simply the best ladders I have found, a bit heavy but the stability is worth it.  Most of my Home Inspector Friends also use and recommend them.

OK well time to go clean up the truck (Home Inspection Mobile), so I am ready for tomorrows Inspection in Gaithersburg.
